Seated Quarters
1878-CC 25C MS65 PCGS. Briggs 1-A. The 1878-CC was the final Carson City quarter issue, since the Bland-Allison Act compelled the U.S. Mint to switch production to silver dollars. The '78-CC mintage was less than one-fourth the '76-CC and '77-CC coinage, and high grade survivors are correspondingly scarcer. This thoroughly lustrous Gem displays lightly dappled tan and sea-green toning. Marks are confined to a tick on the cheek and wispy grazes on the field below TRUST. Population: 23 in 65, 14 finer (1/17).
