Bust Half Dollars
1810 50C O-106a, R.3, AU58 PCGS. A long die line runs from the right shield corner parallel to the slope of the wing and ends about halfway before the wingtip. Intermittent weakness along the obverse rim results in flattening of the rim, dentils, and stars -- visible especially at the back of the cap and at stars 8 and 9 -- to confirm the O-106a variety. Nearly full luster remains on this solid AU58 example, with pleasing champagne-gold toning and occasional bluish-gold accents. A few light marks are grade-appropriate and minor in scope.
