1837 50C GR-17, R.1, MS63 PCGS. Satiny slate-blue and rose toning covers both sides of this lustrous, Select Uncirculated Bust half. Struck from a late die stage with die clashing on both sides, the coin shows a strong die crack from CEN in CENTS that curves through the left-hand legend to the top of ST in STATES. The strike is sharp throughout, with traces of fine granularity in the fields typical of the advanced die state.
