1843-O 50C WB-101, Die Pair 7, R.3, MS63 NGC. The 1843-O half dollar is rare in Mint State, particularly above the current MS63 grade level. This piece displays bold central devices with slight weakness on the upper obverse stars. Both sides exhibit attractive multicolor toning over satiny mint luster. The reverse shows significant die rust, as is diagnostic of the variety. Census: 19 in 63 (1 in 63+), 5 finer (1/17).
