Seated Half Dollars
1870-CC 50C WB-101, Die Pair 3, R.6, Good 4 PCGS. The first-year Carson City half dollar is scarcer than its silver dollar counterpart, despite a mintage nearly five times greater. Apparently, some of the dollars were saved as local pride souvenirs, while the half dollars remained in commerce. This cream-gray example has a bold date and mintmark. Star 13 is faint, but the country name and denomination are clear. Minimally granular, and without relevant marks.
