Bust Half Dimes
1834 H10C V-1, LM-2, R.1, MS67 NGC. This is a beautiful Superb Gem coin with a rich and natural color scheme, ranging from deep-gold to indigo -- reminiscent of coins that resided in a carefully preserved Wayte Raymond album or coin board, acquiring the vibrant hues of a late sunset from the sulfite-infused paperboard. Glowing luster and a strong strike only serve to further the visual appeal. To date, the major grading services have certified just a single 1834 half dime in a numerically finer grade, regardless of variety. NGC Census: 7 in 67 (1 in 67★), 0 finer (2/17).
