Seated Dimes
1872-CC 10C F-101, Low R.4, VF35 PCGS. It is unusual to find the rare 1872-CC Seated dime as fine as the VF35 grade level with problem-free surfaces. This well-detailed example displays uniform lavender and olive-gray toning over smooth surfaces. A mint-made planchet defect just to the left of the date serves as a pedigree marker. The 1872-CC boasts a small mintage of only 35,480 coins, and most pieces experienced extensive circulation and do not survive for modern-day collectors. Population: 15 in 35, 22 finer (2/17).
