Standing Liberty Quarters
1921 25C MS65 Full Head PCGS. Only 1.9 million pieces were struck of the 1921 quarter dollar, and it is estimated that less than 5% of those survive today in all grades. PCGS and NGC combined have seen less than 0.2% of the original mintage, including resubmissions, and of these coins, Full Head pieces are in the distinct minority. Gem Full Head coins are rare. This is a splendid, no-questions Gem that is fully brilliant and well-detailed throughout with strong definition also on Liberty's shield and the eagle's plumage. A couple of minor contact marks are noted on the reverse. The appearance of this piece should generate considerable interest among specialists.
Ex: FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2004), lot 6229.
