1802 50C O-101, T-1, R.3, XF45 PCGS. A single die pair struck 29,890 half dollars in 1802, and most survivors are well-circulated, grading no finer than VF. This Choice XF representative is scarce. The strike is bold and well-centered, and neither side exhibits significant wear. Olive-gold toning warms the gray surfaces, while deeper color appears in the protected peripheral regions. Population: 17 in 45, 28 finer (2/17).
