Bust Half Dollars
1813 50C O-105, R.1, MS64+ PCGS. CAC. This impressive Choice specimen shows coarse dentilation and dramatic clash marks on both sides. The A and T in STATES are close at the base, and the dentil under the 3 in the date is double the regular size. These attributes help identify the O-105 variety. The design elements are sharply detailed, and the well-preserved surfaces radiate vibrant mint luster under shades of champagne-gold and lavender-gray toning. Although this a a plentiful die marriage, examples are conditionally rare at this grade level. In fact, this piece qualifies for the low end of the Condition Census. Population (all 1813 varieties): 22 in 64 (2 in 64+), 4 finer. CAC: 5 in 64, 5 finer (2/17).
