Early Dollars
1795 $1 Draped Bust, Off-Center, B-14, BB-51, R.2, VF30 ANACS. The highest of Liberty's hair curls is located directly beneath the B in LIBERTY. This example is generally well-detailed for the grade, although the shallow reverse die leaves a typically flat impression of the eagle. The obviously original toning varies from charcoal-gray in the fields and centers to purple near the peripheries. Both sides display faint hairlines and a few trivial marks. A vertical pinscratch bisects the eagle from neck to tail feathers.
