Early Dollars
1796 $1 Small Date, Large Letters, B-4, BB-61, R.3, VF35 NGC. Bowers-Borckardt Die State I. The raised dot die flaw above the 1 in the date and Large Letters reverse identify the popular BB-61 variety. This pleasing Choice VF specimen shows the left side of the drapery worn smooth in places, but much interior design detail remains intact. The only mark of note is a thin scratch at Liberty's neck and into the field.
