1800 $1 B-13, BB-193, R.3, AU55 ANACS. Bowers Die State III. The obverse and reverse dies are unique to BB-193. This example is struck from clashed dies, although the obverse has yet to develop a pair of semicircular die cracks that invade the left and right fields from the stars in the later die states. The current coin is richly toned in autumn-gold and brownish-gray shades with occasional blue accents. Golden mint luster remains in protected areas. Housed in an early generation small ANACS holder, this properly graded Choice About Uncirculated example is sharply defined with smooth surfaces and plentiful eye appeal.
