Morgan Dollars
1878-CC $1 MS66+ PCGS. CAC. The 1878-CC dollar enjoys great popularity among collectors due to it being a first-year-of-issue date and the CC mintmark. Moreover, examples are rarely seen above the MS66 grade level. The lustrous surfaces of this high-end Premium Gem exhibit well-struck design elements, including the hair above Liberty's ear. Even the eagle's breast, an area that is usually flat on most examples, shows remarkable feather detail. Both sides possess exceptional eye appeal, aptly recognized by CAC. PCGS reports 42 Plus-graded coins at the MS66 numeric level and a half-dozen MS67 coins finer (2/17).
