1881 $1 MS65 Deep Prooflike NGC. Save for a slight amount of field chatter that is scarcely visible, this coin at first glance could be mistaken for a true proof. The silver-white surfaces are completely untoned, except for a thin ring of gold around the extreme rim. Liberty's cheek is mostly pristine, save for a couple of small abrasions noted under a loupe. Census: 13 in 65 Deep Prooflike, 0 finer (2/17).
