Liberty Half Eagles
1906 $5 MS67 PCGS. CAC. NGC and PCGS combined have certified approximately 5,000 1906 half eagles, predominantly in AU58 through MS64 grades. Most Uncirculated pieces were set aside as bullion reserves, and were indifferently handled by non-collectors. As a result, Gems are very scarce, Premium Gems are rare, and Superb Gems are very rare. This lustrous and crisply struck Liberty five is among the finest survivors of the issue, since the sea-green and apricot-gold surfaces show only wispy contact. Population: 5 in 67, 0 finer.
