Indian Half Eagles
1916-S $5 MS63 PCGS. A remarkably attractive, original example of this final San Francisco half eagle. Light, scattered abrasions are easily forgotten in the shadow of deep violet, mint, olive, and apricot-gold hues, which are illuminated by frosty mint luster. The 1916-S is the final Indian half eagle issue that experienced any significant circulation, as the 1929 remained largely in storage vaults until the gold confiscation of the mid-1930s. The 1916-S is infrequently seen finer than MS63, and Gems are rare. This exceptionally attractive Select representative should not be passed by.
