Liberty Eagles
1901-S $10 MS67 ★ NGC. A monumental example of this plentiful date in the finest condition yet seen by the two major grading services. Note the textured luster in the fields and the superb quality of the devices and fields where virtually no signs of handling are found. Close examination with a loupe will locate a trivial tick or two, but this coin is far and away finer than most others of this date or type. Toned with hints of variegated bluish-gold and orange-gold over each side. This is truly an outstanding coin that any collector will be proud to display and own. For pedigree purposes, a small mark is seen to the left of the bridge of Liberty's nose, a couple more are under each of the eagle's wings. This is the only 1901-S eagle graded MS67 ★ by NGC, with none finer at either service (2/17).
