Liberty Double Eagles
1877-CC $20 AU50 PCGS. Variety 3-A. The first Type Three issue in the Carson City double eagle series is challenging to acquire in AU condition and decidedly rare at the Mint State level. This piece displays excellent detail and original orange-gold coloration. Remnants of luster remain in the protected regions of the fields. The surfaces are much smoother than typical for the grade and issue.
