Liberty Double Eagles
1893-CC $20 AU53 PCGS. CAC. Variety 1-A. The 8 is centered below the B in JBL. This is an early die state example without the usual cracks through the date and (S)TAT(ES). The 1893-CC is sought-after as the final emission from the Nevada branch mint. Only 18,402 double eagles were struck before the facility shut down on June 1, 1893. This minimally circulated twenty boasts readily appealing khaki-gold coloration with partial luster remaining. Sharply struck and devoid of obtrusive abrasions.
