1895-S $20 MS64+ PCGS. The 1895-S Liberty Head double eagle is collectible in MS64 and conditionally rare in MS65. This MS64+ offering straddles that line, presenting the discerning, budget-aware collector with an opportunity to obtain one of the finer known examples of this issue at a reasonable cost. Each side undoubtedly has the look of a Gem, with remarkably few ticks for a large gold coin. The strike is strong over the centers, but the stars are moderately soft. PCGS has seen nine finer submissions (2/17).
