1946-D 50C Booker T. Washington MS68 NGC. CAC. This is an outstanding, Registry-quality Booker T. Washington half with bold forest-green, lilac, and amber-red toning on the obverse and lighter lilac-gray and champagne over much of the reverse. The strike is sharp and a few trivial marks appear on the cheek, as usual. This piece is one of only nine MS68 examples seen by NGC (four MS68 ★, one MS68+), with a single MS69 ★ finer (2/17).
