1987 G$25 Half-Ounce Gold Eagle MS70 NGC. A sizeable mintage of 131,255 pieces was struck of the half-ounce Gold Eagles in 1987, but in business strike format there are remarkably few that have achieved an MS70 grade. NGC has only certified 45 pieces in the ultimate grade. This example is everything one would expect, summed up in one word, perfection. Even yellow-gold color with no annoying imperfections of any kind.
