Proof Trade Dollars
1873 T$1 PR64 PCGS. Deep smoky-gold and gray covers the obverse and reverse of this Choice proof with deep mirroring beneath the layers of color. The 1873 is the first year of issue and these are always in strong demand by type collectors. All the devices are sharp and the surfaces are clean for the grade, although the depth of toning masks this feature to a degree. A scarce coin in this grade, and much more difficult to obtain finer. Population: 30 in 64, 7 finer (2/17).
