1879-S $1 Reverse of 1878, VAM-46, MS64 PCGS. A Top 100 Variety. There are a surprising number of '79-S Second Reverse VAM varieties, but VAM-46 is relatively easy to attribute. The serif of the R in TRUST is practically absent, and the die line above Liberty's lips is diagnostic. This crisply struck and lustrous near-Gem has a semiprooflike reverse.
