1880/79-O $1 Crossbar, VAM-4, MS64 PCGS. CAC. A Top 100 Variety. Raised metal in the upper loop of the second 8 in the date is the crossbar of an underdigit 7 on this overdate variety, paired with a Micro O mintmark reverse. This Choice example displays careful preservation with radiant cartwheel luster and untoned, semireflective surfaces. A few minor marks do not diminish the flashy, brilliant-silver appeal.
