Morgan Dollars
1889-O $1 MS65 PCGS. A brilliant and dazzling-white 1889-O, entirely untoned if not for a faint blush of gold on Liberty's cheek. The frosted surfaces are exceptionally free of any marks, while Liberty's cheek and neck are undisturbed. A bit of weakness over the ear and at the eagle's legs and talons are the only compromises to a sharp strike, not unexpected for this New Orleans issue that was minted in such large quantity. Few examples survive any finer. PCGS reports just 12 coins at MS66 and none numerically higher (2/17).
