1903-S $1 Micro S, VAM-2, Top 100, XF45 PCGS. A Top 100 Variety. The Top 100 reference calls it a Small S, while PCGS and VAMworld.com refer to the same mintmark size as a Micro S. The undersized mintmark was likely from a punch intended for use on Barber quarters. Only a single reverse has the incorrect mintmark size, though any 1903-S is scarce. Almond-gold and slate-gray visit this moderately circulated and inoffensively abraded example.
