1921-D $1 TRU_T Variety, VAM-1A2, MS65+ PCGS. A Top 100 Variety. The Top 100 reference describes VAM-1A2 as "one of the few spectacular filled die varieties in the Morgan dollar series." The S in TRUST is a mere ghost, though no other letters are affected. Formerly known as VAM-1A, then recognized as a later die state of the former VAM-1AB (now VAM-1A1), which has a horizontal die scratch on the tail feathers. As of (2/17), the present lot is the single-finest certified example. Lustrous, smooth, and brilliant.
