Proof Morgan Dollars
1903 $1 PR64 PCGS. The Philadelphia Mint switched to an all-brilliant finish for proof coins after 1902, reducing the mint frost on the devices and eliminating cameo contrast on the great majority of the coins. This attractive near-Gem example exhibits sharply detailed design elements and deeply mirrored fields with the expected lack of contrast. The Choice surfaces are spectacularly toned in shades of cerulean-blue, greenish-gold, and lavender patina. Population: 74 in 64 (1 in 64+), 76 finer (2/17).
