1973-S $1 Silver, Doubled Die Obverse, FS-101, PR70 Deep Cameo PCGS. This minor Cherrypickers' variety shows faint doubling on IN GOD WE TRUST, causing parts of the letters to be thicker than usual. As a date, this flawless Deep Cameo proof is conditionally rare. Both sides are brilliant and sharp, and the dramatic white-on-black contrast is picture-perfect. PCGS has only attributed one FS-101 coin this fine, but the present piece and some others exist unattributed by PCGS in this grade. Population: 38 in 70 Deep Cameo (2/17).
