Rainbow iridescence at the margins yields to shades of gold, lilac, and a few deep-gray speckles that comprise the attractive, natural patina of this high-end Gem Sesquicentennial half dollar. Smooth satiny luster coruscates within the colorfully toned sloped borders. It will be challenging to improve on this Plus-graded example with CAC endorsement, since notably few coins are any finer from the mintage of 141,120 pieces. Population: 17 in 65+, 9 finer.
