GSA Dollars
1891-CC $1 Spitting Eagle, VAM-3, GSA, MS60 NGC. A Top 100 Variety. Among the most well-known varieties of Carson City dollars, the so-called "Spitting Eagle" is identified by a die lump beneath the eagle's beak. A number of examples emerged from the GSA auctions, but the variety is nonetheless popular. This example is lightly toned despite occasional dabs of tan toning. The cheek and obverse field display grade-consistent marks.
