Gold Dollars
1876 G$1 MS64 PCGS. A scant 3,200 gold dollars were struck for commerce during the Centennial year, and they are surprisingly rare in nice Mint State. The present near-Gem has a good strike and an undisturbed appearance. The surfaces are mostly orange-gold, though hints of aquamarine infrequently intrude. Encased in an old green label holder. Population: 39 in 64 (2 in 64+), 15 finer (2/17).
