1895 $2 1/2 MS64 PCGS. Although the mintage for the 1895 seems very low at 6,000 pieces, it was nonetheless a 50% increase over the 4,000 production of quarter eagles in 1894. The present well-struck near-Gem offers smooth orange fields with glimpses of rose-red toning in design recesses. Population: 36 in 64, 31 finer (2/17).
