Liberty Eagles
1860 $10 XF45 PCGS. CAC. The advent of the double eagle took the wind out of No Motto Liberty ten mintages. The 1860 Philadelphia eagle has a production of only 15,055 pieces. Like the present coin, most of the few hundred survivors are the Bulging Bun subtype, though Rounded Bun examples are also known. The peach-gold surfaces are well-defined and moderately marked. The remaining luster is exceptional for the XF45 level. In a green label holder. CAC: 6 in 45, 7 finer (2/17).
