Saint-Gaudens Double Eagles
1909-S $20 MS65 PCGS. Struck from worn dies, which imparts a finely granular texture to the surfaces that captures the mint luster and returns it twofold to the eye. This is a radiant Gem twenty, virtually free of marks, with vibrant orange accents over the sun-gold coloration. The strike is as sharp as can be expected given the used state of the dies, and the eye appeal is truly exceptional. PCGS reports just 19 coins in finer grades for the 1909-S (2/17).
