KINGS of MACEDON. Philip III Arrhidaios. 323-317 BC. AV Stater (18mm, 8.51 g, 1h). In the name of Alexander III. Uncertain mint in Phoenicia or Syria. Struck under Laomedon. Helmeted head of Athena right, helmet decorated with coiled serpent / Nike standing left, holding wreath and stylis; trophy in left field, Φ below left wing. Unpublished, but cf. Price 3571 for the tetradrachm of this issue. Fine, obverse off center. Apparently unique.
