Uncertain, possibly Zaydis of Hawsam, temp. Abu'l-Husayn al-Mu'ayyad (d. 421h), fractional dinar, mint and date mostly off-flan, obv., in margin: mint/date formula; in field: la ilaha illa Allah | Muhammad rasul Allah | 'Ali wali Allah | min [unread] billah, rev., in margin: Qur'an 9:33; in field: Qull huwa: | Allah ahad Allah | al-samad lam yalid wa lam | yaludwa lam yakun lahu | kufu ahad, 0.72g, remains of loop-mount, very fine and extremely rare. The calligraphy and legends are very similar to the fractional dinar of Abu'l-Husayn al-Mu'ayyad sold in these rooms, 21 April 2016, lot 170. Unfortunately, while the first portion of the obverse margin is legible as far as hadha al-dinar, the mint-name itself and year cannot be read securely on this specimen. (400 - 600 GBP)
