Argentina Republic Argentina 1000 Pesos 1.1.1895 Face and Back Proofs Pick 227p. The last of this wonderful group of Argentinian proofs and a representative of the highest denomination. It features black inks over an attractive red underprint. A portrait of San Martin is pictured at right, with a seated woman and child at left. A pair of lovely proofs representing an ever popular type. Perforated cancelled. Both pieces have been graded Choice About New 58 by PCGS.
