Egypt National Bank of Egypt £1 5.1.1899 Pick 2b. A pleasing mid-grade example of this very rare Egyptian note that represents the first £1 issue for the country. Despite its amount of wear, its colors remain quite attractive and the appealing vignette of a pair of camels is quite bold. There are some tape repairs on the back along with some annotations but, otherwise, this piece faces up quite nicely. In the past three years, notes graded a repaired Fine and a PMG Very Fine 20 Net, repaired have each realized over $30,000 at auction. PMG Fine 12 Net. HID08701242017
