(1670-75) 1/2 P St. Patrick Halfpenny VF35 PCGS. CAC. Vlack 5-F, W-11540. The crown divides FLORE AT on the obverse, and the sizing of the letters in GREX is irregular. This is one of nine known die combinations for the St. Patrick halfpenny, supposedly struck by Dubliner Mark Newby for circulation in what was then referred to as West Jersey. This Choice VF example is highly appealing with glossy, chocolate-brown surfaces. Expectedly worn but entirely original with the brass insert intact. Listed on page 43 of the 2017 Guide Book. Population: 13 in 35, 8 finer. CAC: 3 in 35, 1 finer (3/17).
