1786 Vermont Copper, VERMONTENSIUM, AU50 PCGS. RR-6, Bressett 4-D, W-2020, R.2. The obverse is struck approximately 5% off-center south with a minor planchet streak above the plow at the handle. Otherwise, the well-struck obverse exhibits bold legends and the seven trees fully brought-up. The reverse is more properly centered with the lower half of the dentilation visible and the legend full. Struck from a late state of the reverse die, showing the diagnostic eyebrow crack under the QU of QUARTA forming an inverted V at the upright of T. Glossy, medium chocolate-brown color covers both sides of this attractive Landscape copper. Listed on page 74 of the 2017 Guide Book.
