1787 TOKEN Auctori Plebis Token AU58 PCGS. CAC. Breen-1147, W-8770, R.3. This is the usual late die state with a die crack in the upper reverse field. The Auctori Plebis tokens resemble Connecticut coppers, especially on the obverse, although they were struck in England. High-grade survivors are extremely rare, and this near-Mint specimen is bested by just a single finer coin at PCGS (3/17). The olive and chocolate-brown surfaces show considerable luster with minimal marks. Listed on page 76 of the 2017 Guide Book.
