(1795) PENNY Washington Liberty & Security Penny, Plain Rims, MS64 Brown PCGS. CAC. Baker-30, W-11050, Musante GW-45, R.2. The Plain Rims variety, characterized by a lumpy appearance on the left-side obverse rim. This is a prooflike near-Gem with glossy deep tan-brown surfaces and powder-blue undertones. Well-struck and essentially pristine but perhaps limited in grade by a curly lintmark (as coined) on Washington's jaw. Listed on page 86 of the 2017 Guide Book.
