Proof Seated Dimes
1858 10C PR66 Cameo NGC. CAC. F-101, R.5. Squared-off rims and razor-sharp strike aside, proof diagnostics for the 1858 include a die scratch above the M in AMERICA and a medium, downward-sloping date. This was the first year of proof sales to the public. A total of 300 pieces were distributed at no charge above face value. Each side is completely brilliant. The fields are deeply reflective and nearly unmarked, allowing for bold contrast against the devices. Census: 6 in 66 Cameo, 0 finer. CAC: 2 in 66, 0 finer (3/17).
