Seated Quarters
1857 25C MS66+ PCGS. This frosty, high-end 1857 Seated quarter type coin is almost completely devoid of abrasions, showing a hint of reflectivity in the fields. Much of each side is warmed in creamy-champagne hues, but tinges of blue and amber appear around portions of the peripheries. The only draw back is moderate strike weakness on the obverse stars, Liberty's head, the cap, and the date. The reverse is slightly weak on the arrowheads but is sharp on the eagle. A degree of cameo contrast is present on each side, and a small grease stain in the left obverse field (as struck) is not immediately obvious. Population: 41 in 66 (6 in 66+), 10 finer (3/17).
