Seated Quarters
1885 25C MS66+ PCGS. Briggs 2-B. There is a small die lump under the top arrowhead. Each side of this lovely Seated quarter is completely toned in primarily gunmetal-gray and tan-gold patina. Elements of blue and lavender on the reverse heighten the appeal. Central strike definition is bold with a hint of incompleteness on the stars and olive leaves. As expected for a coin in this amazing state of preservation, marks are unimportant. Only 13,600 circulation-strike quarters were produced in 1885. Population: 20 in 66 (3 in 66+), 4 finer (3/17).
