Barber Quarters
1907-O 25C MS66 PCGS. More than 4.5 million pieces were struck of the 1907-O, yet few examples have achieved high Mint State grades since the issue was poorly produced. David Lawrence believes 1907-O is "the most poorest struck coin in the series." This Premium Gem coin bucks the trend, with sharp definition on both sides. A swath of frosty-silver chases away the tan-gold and autumn-gray toning that covers the upper portions of the obverse. Strong mint luster is especially prevalent on the nearly untoned reverse, which displays complementary toning at the borders. Population: 14 in 66 (2 in 66+), 5 finer (3/17).
