Early Half Dollars
1794 50C O-104, T-11, R.5, VG10 NGC. Tompkins Die State 1/3 with a rim break approaching the ER in AMERICA. A charming key date Flowing Hair half dollar. Dove-gray high points contrast with apricot-gold fields. The left obverse margin displays hints of cherry-red toning. The surfaces are only lightly abraded, and all legends are bold. The tail feathers and right (facing) wing display partial plumage. O-104 is rarer than O-101, and any problem-free example is desirable.
